Description: Men Slim Braces Boater
120 cm long and 25 mm wide, these braces are made up of black elastic bands (83% polyester and 17% elastodiene) joined by a green leather insert (100% cowhide) stamped “Les Bretelles de Léon”. The slim Canotier braces have stainless steel clips with a rubber reinforcement so they won't mark your clothes. You can wear your braces over all types of trousers without any constraints.
Boater? What's all this about? These braces made us think of boating hats. Boater hats were iconic summer hats worn by men in the 1800s through to the early 20th century. It was probably the water-green leather back that inspired the name... because canoers were associated with outdoor activities such as boating!
Our model, Stéphane, is 1m75 tall and wears a Lordson shirt in size M and Ateliers Tuffery trousers in size 42.
Our advice:
- To choose your braces (standard, XL or XS), measure with a tape measure from the waistband at the front to the waistband at the back, passing through the shoulder.
- Remember to waterproof the leather of your braces.
